Research activity and projects

My research interests include data mining, data stream management, and real time anomalies detection. Since 2015, I particularly focused on semantic technologies and distributed systems, namely in the context of the FUI project WAVES.

Real-time distributed supervision of water distribution Network using semantic technologies
FUI project: WAVES: 2015-2017
Anomalies detection using several complementary processing steps performed in real-time on data streams:
  • data quality evaluation and improvement,
  • data stream filtering and summarizing,
  • anomalies detection.
I worked, in the context of several other projects on many application domains:

Bike sharing systems: modeling, analysis and optimization
PGMO Project (Gaspard Monge Program for Optimization and operations research)
  • Bike stations classification using clustering algorithms.
  • Improvement of resources (bikes and docks) availability in Bike Sharing Systems.
Network traffic modeling
  • Characterization of Internet traffic, in collaboration with Orange Labs.
  • Design and development of on-line algorithms identifying large flows in a dense IP traffic, with application to traffic engineering and charging.
IP Traffic sampling
  • Development of a new method inferring flow statistics from sampled data. Application for ADSL traffic from Orange Labs IP backbone network.
Attacks detection in IP traffic
ANR project: OSCAR ( Overlay Networks Security: Characterization, Analysis and Recovery)
  • Design and development of statistic algorithms that detect on-line attacks in IP traffic, in collaboration with Orange Labs.
Analysis of electricity consumption data
  • Collaboration with EDF R&D in order to manage Linky smart meters: data aggregation, quality of data, statistical models forecasting future consumption.
